Team & Board

IG Bildende Kunst is led and represented externally by a team of active artists (the board). The board members are elected every two years by the full members of IG Bildende Kunst. Substantive positions, arts policy activities and the strategic work of the interest group are defined and planned by the Board, with the staff involved.

Board of IG Bildende Kunst

Sheri Avraham: Artist and theatre maker. She sees her work as a translation process between classes and geographies.

Eva Dertschei: Designer at the interface of art and design. Her work ranges from exhibition design in cooperation with artists to artistic interventions in museums and public space.

Vasilena Gankovska: Visual artist. In her artistic work she deals with visual strategies in urban space and processes her observations in the form of images, stencils and short videos, as well as in texts.

Guilherme Pereira Maggessi de Oliveira: Visual artist, designer and researcher. In his work he deals with the production, circulation and reception of images, as well as their (co-)existence in archives, museums and private collections.

Almut Rink: Visual artist, designer. The central fault line of her work – in site-specific projects, videos and drawings – is the contrast between inclusion and flight along the topoi of nature, metaphor, I / ego / self, the individual in the (in)ability to connect with the environment.

Ruby Sircar: visual artist and artistic researcher, uses performative strategies to critique popular culture and discuss new spaces for migration and diaspora.
